Teacher appreciation at the Aga Khan School, Osh
Seven teachers from the Aga Khan School (AKS), Osh were selected for a two-day trip to the city of Tashkent, Uzbekistan to appreciate their hard work and dedication at the school.
This trip, which is the first of its kind the school organised, provided the teachers with an opportunity to boost their morale and working relations with each other, while also doing some sightseeing. Although providing quality education is an essential commitment of AKS, Osh – and the Aga Khan Schools worldwide – selecting dedicated and talented teachers and appreciating them with trips or awards ceremonies is also important.
During the trip, the teachers visited historical museums, a planetarium, an oceanarium and a local market that’s well-known for its locally grown fruits and vegetables.
“This kind of opportunity builds and unites the teaching staff, while also giving us a platform for further growth as we feel acknowledged and appreciated by the school’s leadership team,” said Zhoroeva Aida Mamadalievna, an English teacher at the school.
In addition to this trip, AKS, Osh organises various team building and staff appreciation initiatives for all its staff. This encourages the staff to learn, develop and grow in their professions, while also enabling them to feel confident and appreciated.
AKS, Osh is appreciative of all its teachers and can’t wait for next year’s trip!
